Smoke Control
Fire Codes require regular testing and maintenance of smoke control systems in buildings in order to ensure the equipment is operating properly and as originally designed. Smoke control systems often are used to control the spread of smoke and may be used for the evacuation of smoke from building areas. These systems are sometimes connected to fire alarm systems and operate automatically when the building is in alarm.
At Fire Cube, we have the expertise to develop smoke control procedures tailored to your facility. A smoke control system is a complex mechanical, electrical, and architectural system that is designed based on the buildings specific requirements. The systems are designed to keep smoke out of certain areas in the event of a fire. Our procedures are developed through consultation with the Owners/Operators, review of mechanical and architectural drawings and a detailed visual site review to understand the original design intent of the building. Our expertise spans across small tenant units to multi-storey high rise with more complex fire and life safety systems.
